New mobile optical lab service launched in North Wales.

Home Vision Care founder Chris Gould, an optometrist from Prestatyn, today announced the launch of an innovative new mobile optical lab service.

"It has taken us over a year to overcome the technical challenges involved, but as of November 1st we will be able to offer an on-site mobile optical lab facility. After a home eye test we can now make up single focus spectacles to most prescriptions on site in our state of the art mobile optical lab, thus offering high street service to housebound customers."

Technical notes:
This service is currently available in standard CR39 lenses for -

• Spherical prescriptions from plus 8D to minus 8D
• Astigmatic prescriptions from plus 6D to minus 6D with up to 3D cylinder.
• Tints, scratch resistant coatings and UV absorbing tints are available.

We CANNOT make bifocals, varifocals, transitions, prisms or extra thin lenses on site, these usually take about 10 working days.
